Now THAT'S snow!

Many of you know that I've been wishing for snow since before Christmas. Well, I finally got my wish! It seems like EVERYONE got my wish as a matter of fact. I was reading the news this morning and came across a story that says there was at least SOME snow in all 50 states (if you count the snow on the mountaintops in Hawaii). Isn't that crazy?

It started snowing here early yesterday morning.

Huge flakes fell from the sky.

The picnic table began to be covered.

Then the road and trees.

By early afternoon it was really getting thick.

The poor clothesline isn't holding up well.

It continued through the night.

Then this morning it finally quit.

Everything is white and beautiful...except for the dog.

And now the picnic table is much deeper in snow.

It's showing 28 degrees on my thermometer so I think the snow will stay with us even though the sun is shining brightly. Maybe later it will warm up and melt but I hope it stays a little while. (Sorry to those of you that have had snow all this time and just want it to go away. This is our first real snow here in South Georgia and I'm enjoying it!)

SNOW!! Kind of...

We finally got some snow, which I've been waiting on since before Christmas. They got to have a white Christmas at home in Texas and we got rain here in Georgia. That's just my luck.

Yesterday, however, we got some snow. I planned on taking pictures yesterday but it got dark on me. Then this morning when I finally did get outside, most of it had melted. Ugh.

They say we're supposed to get some more tonight so maybe in the next day or two I'll have some better pictures for you. For now these are all you get...

The pitiful little amount left in the front yard

The abandoned house behind our house

The roof looks pretty...

And the road is hanging on to some snow..

But that's it! Hopefully I'll show you LOTS of snow soon! Have a great day everyone!
