One of the highlights of my month was traveling to schools with THE Ronald McDonald to talk to kids about bullying and friendship. I really had a blast! You can click here to see the video (on the right hand side). It's only about 20 seconds long but again, I really had fun!
And here's a funny to make you smile...I know it made ME smile!
I promise I'll start posting more often soon! I'm just a busy, busy girl with work these days! Have a wonderful day everyone!
My step-daughter Court did this on her Facebook and I thought it was so funny that I wanted to give it a try. And just in case you're wondering, yes, my dog & cat can dance.
I'm so excited that one of my favorite holidays is almost here! I can't wait to see all the costumes & kids on Halloween night :)
Just for fun today I decided to share a video with you which rocks in two ways...1. It has one of my favorite Halloween songs and 2. It has some of my favorite cartoon characters..Scooby Doo & the gang! Enjoy & Happy Halloween ^_^
I'm pretty sure I've told you that my husband and I have a weird sense of humor (yes, we have the same sense of humor so it's basically ONE sense of humor). You could even say we're warped. So it should be no surprise that we TOTALLY love the Travelers Insurance bunny vs. rattlesnake commercial. What? You haven't seen it? Well here ya' go...
For those of you that don't know Katdish...where have you been??? She's really funny and a little bit crazy! Her blog is here...I tell you because you HAVE to visit her. It's a new law. I just made it up because not sleeping does that to my brain.
Seriously, go visit her. You'll love her I promise.
Recently she's been having LOTS of fun microwaving Peeps. Yes, the Easter candy. You should really watch her videos of it. It's too funny!
Anyway, I was wandering around YouTube during my non-sleeping-night and I found another person who loves microwaving Peeps...Yep, there's more than one! Check it out...
So there you have it...another Peep killer! Now go visit Katdish and watch her videos too. Like I said, hers are super funny plus her microwave doesn't look gross like these guys did!
I've been (sort of) keeping up with all the Justin Bieber hype that's been going on lately but until I saw the following video from David Letterman, I had never heard him sing. Let me just say....he's not bad :)
I watched Airplane last night and laughed like I'd never seen it (even though I've probably seen it 500 times). To me the whole movie is great but my favorite scenes are those with the "Jive Talkers".
Thanks to being TV-less I missed the Oscars. I read all about them but it wasn't the same as seeing it. The one thing I really wanted to see was the tribute to John Hughes. Some of you know how much I loved him. It was a lot.
I went searching on YouTube and was so happy to find this video of the tribute. It was awesome to me! I miss John Hughes.
Reading the news last night while I couldn't sleep, I came across two things that I wanted to share with you today on this day of love. The first one is funny. The second is awesome.
The first story made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to fall out of my chair. It seems that British men don't want to be left out of the "Wonderbra" phenomenon that took over the U.S. several years ago. No, they aren't wearing bras but they are wearing "anatomy-boosting underwear". For real. Would I lie to you?
According to the story "The pants work by using a lift and hold feature at the front, like a male version of the cleavage-boosting Wonderbra. "The briefs mean that no man ever needs to feel inadequate again on the most passionate day of the social calendar," said Rob Faucherand, head of men's accessories buying at Debenhams (a British department store that has seen a 76% increase in sales of the underwear in the past week). "However we can't be held responsible for what happens once the pants come off," he added."
Personally I don't notice a mans "package" until after the pants are off...haha! I wish them luck though. Hopefully it won't cause their romantic evening to end short. :)
Ok, sorry, I couldn't help myself. On a serious note though, the second story I read totally made me feel good in an it's-an-awesome-way-to-help way instead of a falling-out-of-my-chair-laughing way.
Stars have united to remake Michael Jackson's We Are The World song/video 25 years after the original to aid Haiti in their time of need. The video is so cool to me. I love how they incorporated rap and Haitian music into it (I'm a big fan of just about ALL genres of music). You can download the tune and donate for Haiti relief. Here's the video. Enjoy it and donate if you can. They need our help.
Much love to all my Blogland friends. Happy Valentine's Day ♥
I found this video this morning and thought it was so cute! It was a little hard for me watch because it flashes between the pictures but the thoughts of the kids are just great. Enjoy!
Adam Lambert wowed me on last season's American Idol (which I'm sure you remember from all my posts about him). I was totally in love with his flamboyant ways and beautiful voice. I would even go so far as to say that I was his #1 fan. Now I'm a little disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, I still love him. I'm just not as wowed.
I know he caused a lot of controversy on the 2009 American Music Awards when he grabbed his male keyboardist and laid a big kiss on him but to me, that was part of who he is. I wasn't one of the people that was bothered by that. As a matter of fact, I cheered because of it.
Now, I'm sure some of you are screaming at your screen and telling me how wrong I am for that, but I'm sorry, I will never believe any different than I do. People are people to me. Black, white, gay, straight...it doesn't matter to me. What you do in your private life makes no difference to me. What matters to me is the person and I believe Adam to be a real talent.
Here's where my disappointment shows up. I was surfing around the web and came across this story about Adam. I immediately watched the video. He sounds wonderful but where is the flash, the glam, the wow? It's missing. To me it's practically boring. If I close my eyes and just listen, it's awesome but that's not what I want to do. I want to see a show. I want to be entertained. I want my Glambert back!!
Ok, that's enough complaining for one day :)
Here's the video. Enjoy his voice. I stand by my statement that he is a real talent.
It seems like people just can't get what they want from McDonald's anymore. I told you a while back about a woman that called 911 because her McDonald's was out of Chicken Mcnuggets.
Then on January 1st of this year, a Toledo woman got irate because she couldn't get her Mcnuggets either. She got so mad that she punched the drive-thru worker in the face, tried to pull the manager out of the drive-thru window and then punched and shattered the window before she drove off. She was, of course, arrested.
Then today I came across another story about McDonald's. A woman in Kansas City Missouri decided to tear up her local McDonald's because she didn't like her hamburger. She caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. Because she didn't like her hamburger. McDonald's employees offered to make her hamburger again but she refused. She wanted her money back (which I think they should have given her; what is it? 89 cents? At the most it's $3.00) but they wouldn't give it to her so instead she trashed the place. Police released a video (which I got off You Tube) of her rampage.
